The USDA Forest Service Missoula Technology and Development Center has produced a very useful video/booklet sets, that are intended to educate volunteers as well as professional trail builders. The videos may be borrowed from the Forest Service video library. Some of these resources may be out of print. Crew members may borrow copies from the Blue & White Crew library.

An Ax to Grind
Bernie Weisgerber worked with the National Park Service and the USDA Forest Service as a specialist in historic preservation. He is a recognized expert in building and restoring log buildings. In this two-part video, Mr. Weisgerber pays tribute to axes, covering their history, their correct use, and their care.
