For an early April retreat, the Blue and White crew made their home at the most remote structure in Shenandoah National Park. Working in and around Jones Mountain cabin, they improved the cabin grounds, installed numerous waterbars and checkdams on the spur trail, cut locust logs for more
erosion-control devices, and even cut and split firewood for future cabin renters. Crew members Melanie Falk, Kurt Fisher, and Patrick, Uli Wilson, Stan Turk, John Hebbe, and Fran Okeson took full advantage of the perfect weather and cozy, historic accommodations. |
