May 2007 Photos The Crew took crosscuts and axes to the Buck Ridge - Buck Hollow loop in May. Recent winds had brought many old-growth trees onto the trails. A second crew contingent took chain saws to the Appalachian Trail, cutting blowdowns near Bootens Gap and on the western slope of Hawksbill Mountain. After work, the crew retired to the Pinnacles Research Center, for a celebration of Christmas-in-May, with Pilar Okeson's famous eggnog. click image for larger version view May slideshow
