The crew convened at Big Meadows at 9AM (17 degrees, with blustery winds), and by lunch-time had devised a deployment plan for the 5 sawyers, car shuttle specialists, and swamper personnel. The four small crews hustled off to their assignments and set a new Blue and White record for trail mileage cleared in a single day. All blowdowns reported on the AT from Skyland to Swift Run Gap were cleared, as well as everything on Laurel Prong, Mill Prong, Fork Mountain, Jones Mountain (from "the Sag" to Staunton River), Staunton River, Cat Knob, Upper Hawksbill, and the Salamander Trail. Crew members re-convened at the Falk family home for dinner and camaraderie.
