December (trip #1) Shenandoah National Park was hit by an ice and wind storm on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. The weather brought down hundreds of trees on hiking trails in the Park, and closed Skyline Drive for weeks. Blue and White Crew volunteers started their cleanup operation on the weekend of December 2nd, and continued the work for several weeks. click image for larger version view December slideshow
